What would cause my 3 month old Black Lab to cough & hack periodically??

We have a 3 month old black lab that we adopted from a shelter. We had a wellness check done by a vet & she was found to be perfectly healthy. For the past 2 days now, she is hacking & coughing every so often as if there was something stuck in her throat. Any ideas???

Bordatella (Kennel Cough) is VERY contageous, and could easily have been picked up while she was at the shelter. Other viruses can have symptoms including a cough, especially if you are seeing nasal or ocular discharge as well.
In a puppy her age, I would go visit the vet to rule out something more serious, and perhaps pick up antibiotics.
